The tournament is sponsored by Community Development and is being organised by Philip Garner.
There will be six categories comprising Senior Men's A; Senior Men's B; Veterans; Ladies; Under 15 and Under 19. Some 100 competitors are expected to compete.
The venue is the newly laid Road Tennis Court at Chicken Galore, Bank Hall Cross Road, although it's expected that some games will be played at the Deighton Roach Road Tennis Facility in Bank Hall.
Road Tennis is a sport invented in Barbados.
As the name suggests, it is played on a paved surface of 21 feet by 11 feet. Its principles are similar to those of table tennis, but the ball used is more like a lawn tennis ball than a table tennis ball.
