United Insurance Barbados Open Golf Tournament
This is an international golf tournament in its 27th year. Players are expected from Antigua, Barbados, Canada, England, Grenada, Ireland, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA. Some 150 golfers are expected to compete, with the break-down between local and overseas golfers approximately 50:50. The largest contingent of overseas players is expected from Trinidad and Tobago. Reigning men's champion James Johnson - he has won for the past four years - will be defending his title. The tournament forms part of the trials for the Barbados Team to this yearÂ’s Caribbean amateur golf championships. The public is invited. Dress appropriately!
