Barbados offers a range of watersports activities, including game fishing, sailing, surfing and windsurfing. The annual "Water" festival celebrates these watersports activities as well as the importance of the sea to Barbados.

	2009	NOV	28,29	Surfer of the Year - Round 6 The event is hosted by the Barbados Surfing Association. There are 6 rounds to the SOTY competition. The dates are: Round 1: Feb 14,15 Round 2: May 16,17 Round 3: Aug 29,30 Round 4: Sep 19,20 Round 5: Oct 17,18 Round 6: Nov 28,29 There are separate Men and Ladies tournaments. 	2009	NOV	28,29,30	November Pro International Surfing Championship Surfers will be competing in four categories.  These are Men's Open, Women's Open, Under 21 Junior Boy's and Body Surfing. Competitors are expected from many countries, regional and extra-regional. The competition is hosted by the Barbados Surfing Association and the Caribbean Surfing Network. The surf Bowl is rated one of the top ten surfing locations in the world.	Surfing
