arcRes Booking-Partners Launched

The arcRes Booking-Partners module allows hotels to partner with activities, car rentals and other tourism operators to offer discounted rates when booking directly online.

This is a good way for a destination to cross-sell their tourism product. Hotels choose partners at agreed special rates and commission. At the end of the booking process the partner is displayed and may be booked. Partner bookings are tracked back to the selling property.

The benefit to the hotel is that the partner discounts serve as another reason for the visitor to choose their property and to encourage direct (i.e. commission-free) business. The activity benefits as it receives both additional marketing through each partner hotel, and increased direct bookings.

The visitor enjoys overall savings and the convenience of using one booking engine. This Booking-Partners program will be promoted on our network channels, travelwatchnews, BookingsStlucia.com news, Press Releases, Facebook, Twitter and Social Media.

This will showcase those hotels that are partnering with activities, car rentals and other tourism operators. The Partners will, of course, get branding exposure AND the possibility of bookings from arcRes for these hotels.

Social Media Boosts SEO for Poinsettia

Our BookingsStlucia.com Team scored a big success using Social media to boost Search Engine ranking for Poinsettia Apartments.

About a year ago, Poinsettia was re-branded to reflect its Villa and Townhouse style resort settings. It's not a conventional apartment block. All units have their own entrance and many have both a front and back door with a garden patio. The re-branding got Poinsettia listed under many search results such as "St. Lucia Villa apartments".

Early this week we noted that a search on Google for "St. Lucia long term reantals" and "apartment rentals St. Lucia" was not showing Poinsettia in the first page. It normally takes 6 months or more for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to take hold, but we wanted immediate results. The AXSES Team got into action and within a few days Poinsettia was on the first page of Google.
